Hillsdale, Michigan – January 6th
The Hillsdale County Community Foundation is pleased to announce the recipients of our fall grant cycles.
A total of $58,963 has been awarded to area non-profit organizations for projects or programs to benefit Hillsdale County residents. The following organizations were awarded funding through the Community Investment Fund:
- Hillsdale District Court/Hillsdale Circuit Court, $50,000 for the HDDC Felony Track Expansion Project and Continuation program
- Hillsdale College GOAL Program: Crossroads Farm, $1,000 to assist with the costs associated with the program
- Hillsdale County Senior Services Center, $7,963 for their Senior Nutrition Meals on Wheels & Congregate Meals kitchen updates
The Y.O.U.T.H. (Youth Opportunities Unlimited Throughout Hillsdale) have awarded a total of $4,947.08 to area schools for projects or programs to benefit young people in Hillsdale County. The following organizations were awarded funding through the Kellogg Youth Advisory Fund:
- Jonesville Community Schools, $1,059.45 for Jonesville High School Band’s PPE for wind instrument aerosol mitigation
- Reynolds Elementary School, $635.47 for the purchase of children’s COVID-19 face masks
- Will Carleton Academy, $3,252.16 for the purchase of new H2O touchless water fountains
The Hillsdale County Community Foundation was established in 1991 “For good. For ever.” As a community grant-making foundation, it provides seed money to organizations and institutions that have identified problems and have designed constructive action programs aimed at solutions. A majority of the Foundation’s grant making is focused on the areas of youth, leadership, philanthropy and volunteerism.
