Hillsdale, MI, April 24, 2017

The Hillsdale County Community Foundation, as part of a commitment to the success of our local nonprofit agencies, is sponsoring a series of free educational workshops for local organizations. The goal of the trainings is to increase the strength and sustainability of 501(c)(3) organizations that may not otherwise have the financial means to take advantage of learning opportunities for their staff and board members. HCCF is contracting with the Nonprofit Network, which is based in Jackson, to provide trainings that are customized to meet the needs of Hillsdale County nonprofits. Trainings will be facilitated by representatives from the Nonprofit Network, with HCCF providing resources and information that pertains specifically to challenges and opportunities in Hillsdale County.

Topics will include:

  • Board 101: Accelerating Board Performance – May 9, 4:30-7:30 pm
    – for nonprofit board members
  • HCCF Grant Writing Strategies – May 17, 9 am-12 pm
    – for nonprofit staff, board, and committee members
  • Financial Management for the Non-Financial Executive – June 7, 9 am-12 pm
    – for nonprofit staff, board, and committee members
  • Strategies for Evaluation Plans – August 15, 1-4 pm
