Hillsdale, MI, August 15, 2016

The Hillsdale County Community Foundation is celebrating their 25th Anniversary with a Garden Party on Thursday, August 18th, beginning at 5:30 pm. The public is invited to attend the event, which will take place at C. Raker & Sons., Inc. at 10371 Rainey Road in Litchfield. HCCF Board and staff members, along with special guests, will present a brief program outlining the impact of the HCCF on the Hillsdale County
community for the past 25 years.

The HCCF was established on June 25, 1991, with a mission of receiving and administering funds for artistic, charitable, educational, and scientific purposes in a manner that both promotes the spirit of philanthropy and meets the needs of the people of Hillsdale County. Since that time, the Foundation has granted over $8.5M to benefit Hillsdale County and currently administers 210 funds for charitable purposes. In addition, 70 community leaders have served the HCCF as Board members and 254 young people have received leadership training as YOUTH (Youth Opportunities Unlimited Throughout Hillsdale) members since 1991. The Foundation has also provided financial support and leadership for several projects, programs, and initiatives throughout Hillsdale County.

Along with the presentation by the HCCF, guests will be welcomed and encouraged to explore the Raker Trial Gardens and enjoy complimentary food and fellowship. The HCCF sincerely extends our thanks to C. Raker & Sons, Inc. for generously hosting the event.

The Hillsdale County Community Foundation was established in 1991 “For good. For ever.” As a community grant-making foundation, it provides seed money to organizations and institutions that have identified problems and have designed constructive action programs aimed at solutions. A majority of the Foundation’s grant making is focused on the areas of youth, leadership, philanthropy and volunteerism.
