Hillsdale, Michigan, November 1, 2023: Since 2012, #GivingTuesday has been an international movement focused on charitable giving, fueled by the synergy of social media and cooperation. The Hillsdale County Community Foundation will celebrate on November 28, 2023, by hosting The Great Give, the day of the year marked by the greatest outpouring of generosity in Hillsdale County.
#GivingTuesday, celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving, kicks off the charitable season as many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving after large shopping events such as Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, and Cyber Monday.
Please plan now to support our local non-profit agencies. There are multiple ways to donate:
- Pre-giving: November 6, through noon on November 27, drop off, mail, or online (www.abouthccf.org) to donate to your favorite non-profit agency.
- Drop off: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. or 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. at 2 South Howell Street, Hillsdale
- Mail to: PO Box 276, Hillsdale, Michigan 49242
- Online: Online gifts are encouraged using the HCCF website, www.abouthccf.org.
- Day of the Event: Tuesday, November 28, from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at the HUB Activity Center, 1300 South Hillsdale Road, Hillsdale. There will be drive through and drop off options for donors at the HUB Activity Center Building. Donors can also give online.
The HCCF invites Hillsdale County residents to participate in celebrating the spirit of philanthropy by donating to the nonprofits in our community. Additional funds from a bonus pool will be awarded and distributed by the HCCF to agencies during The Great Give.
