Hillsdale, MI, June 22, 2021–
The Hillsdale County Community Foundation is celebrating their 30th Anniversary this year with a virtual campaign. The online campaign will take place June 21st – June 25th on Facebook and will feature stories, successes and reflections from the last 30 years in the community. On June 25th, the Foundation will conclude the week with an outdoor event. HCCF invites community members to stop by the Hillsdale County Courthouse lawn for coffee and a free donut between 9:00 am and 12:00 pm.

The HCCF was established on June 25, 1991, with a mission of receiving and administering funds for artistic, charitable, educational, and scientific purposes in a manner that both promotes the spirit of philanthropy and meets the needs of the people of Hillsdale County. Since that time, the Foundation has granted nearly $10 million to benefit Hillsdale County and awarded $3.5 million in scholarships to local students and residents pursuing higher education. HCCF has established and maintained 330 funds for charitable purposes. In addition, 83 community members have served on the Board of Trustees of the Foundation and over 250 young people have received leadership training and opportunities as YOUTH (Youth Opportunities Unlimited Throughout Hillsdale) members since the beginning in 1991. HCCF has also played a significant role for several projects, initiatives and programs throughout Hillsdale County.

The Hillsdale County Community Foundation was established in 1991 “For good. For ever.”  As a community grant-making foundation, it provides seed money to organizations and institutions that have identified problems and have designed constructive action programs aimed at solutions. A majority of the Foundation’s grant making is focused on the areas of youth, leadership, philanthropy and community needs.
